Chevron Rib Lace Knit Stitch |
This week's weekly swatch post features another classic lace knit stitch, the chevron rib stitch.
The stitch is knitted over four rows, requires a multiple of seven plus two stitches and all the wrong side rows are purled throughout. The pattern creates ribbed columns of chevron arrows, which are ideally suited for tubular knits, such as socks and cowls.
For my sample in the images of the post I used my trusted Stylecraft Kon Tiki (grey swatch) and Drops Flora, a mix of 65% wool and 35% Alpaca yarn.
(The below sample shows the stitch worked over a multiple of 7 plus 2 stitches.)
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: K1, *k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 4: Purl all stitches.
