Snowball Knit Stitch |
In an attempt to improve my weekly swatch posting stats for 2020, here is another swatch for this week. It's the Snowball Knit Stitch, which I have really enjoyed knitting up.
For the most part the stitch motif requires a combination of only knit and purl rows before the in - and decreases are worked on two separate rows, resulting in a distinctly textured fabric.
Snowball Knit Stitch
(The sample in the images shows the stitch worked over a multiple of 6 + 1 stitches.)
Row 1 (right side): K 3, *p1, k5, rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k3.
Row 2: P3, *k1, p5, rep from * to last 4 sts, k1, p3.
Row 3: Repeat Row 1
Row 4: Repeat Row 2
Row 5: P1, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, P1, rep from * to end.
Row 6: K1, *p5, k1, rep from * to end.
Row 7: P1, *k5, p1, rep from * to end.
Row 8: Repeat Row 6
Row 9: Repeat Row 7
Row 10: Repeat Row 6
Row 11: K1, *yo, sl1, k1, psso, p1, k2tog, yo, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 12: Repeat Row 2
Row 13: Repeat Row 1
Row 14: Repeat Row 2
Row 15: Repeat Row 1
Row 16: Repeat Row 2
Repeat Rows 5 to 16 for pattern.
