The Little Laurel Knit Stitch is another super simple knit stitch. The appearance of little laurel wreaths is achieved through a combination of knit and purl stitches only. The pattern is worked over 8 rows and the sample in the images is worked on a multiple of 4 plus two stitches.
Little Laurel Knit Stitch
(Requires a multiple of 4 plus 2 stitches.)
Row 1 (right side): K1, *[k1, k1tbl., k1] (into the same stitch), p3tog, rep. from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 2 (wrong side): K1, *k1, p3, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 3: K1, *k3, p1, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 4: K1, *k1, p3, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 5: K1, *p3tog,[ k1, k1tbl., k1] (into the same stitch), rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 6: K1, *p3, k1, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 7: K1, *p1, k3, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 8: K1, *p3, k1, rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Repeat Rows 1 to 8 for pattern.
