Injecting a splash of colour with this week's knit swatch...
The Two-Colour Loop Stitch is super simple and rewarding. The loop effect is achieved by mostly knitting, some purling and slipping lots of stitches.
It's worked over eight rows and requires a multiple of four plus one stitches.
Two-Colour Loop Knit Stitch
Multiple of 4 plus 1 stitches
Row 1 With Colour A: Knit all stitches.
Row 2 With Colour A: Purl all stitches.
Row 3 With Colour B: K1, *slip 3 stitches, k1; rep. from * to end of row.
Row 4 With Colour B: K1, *slip 3 stitches, k1; rep. from * to end of row.
Row 5 With Colour B: Knit all stitches.
Row 6 With Colour B: Purl all stitches.
Row 7 With Colour A: K3, slip 3 stitches, *k1, slip 3 stitches; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, k3.
Row 8 With Colour A: P2, k1, *slip 3 stitches, k1; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, p2.
Repeat rows 1 to 8 for pattern.
