The Weekly Swatch: Wide Basket Weave Knit Stitch Pattern

In this instalment of the weekly swatch I have another basket weave stitch to add to the stitch library, the Wide Basket Weave Stitch. 

The stitch requires a multiple of 9 plus 8 stitches and is knitted over 10 rows.

The Weekly Swatch: Double Basket Weave Knit Stitch

I am catching up with the weekly swatches yet again and for this week I have prepared the Double Basket Weave Knit Stitch. 

This stitch is a variation of the Simple Basket Weave Knit Stitch and slightly more involved. 

The stitch motif is knitted on a multiple of 18 plus 3 stitches over 18 rows and creates a gorgeous, chunky texture.

The Basket Weave Stitch sequence is an uncomplicated stitch motif, imitating the texture of woven baskets as the name implies. Many stitch combinations, which will produce a similar texture, exist. To achieve the below sample a multiple of 10 plus 3 stitches are required. These are either knitted or purled. The Basket Weave Stitch is extremely beginner-friendly and an organic stitch motif for knitted bags, cases or pillow and cushion covers.
